 | | Oh great land of liberty Called by divine destiny
By the trust the people place
In a righteous God that called them forth

But why, if called to such a great destiny
 Have our skies so darkened
With plumes of smoke and towers falling
People running, so much yelling, the events so appalling

Oh great land of liberty bulwark of prosperity
How the light of your brilliance shone forth
Unto the world that God stood with us
Throughout the ages our enemies have fallen far beyond our shores
But what is this that comes to ear
 Sounds of horror and despair
 From within our very shores

WHY! Has such tragedy struck the nation under God.
Why? I ask, my question for all to hear! Why?
Does not the Word of God declare to all that understand?
Our God changes not. He is our bulwark never failing.
Then why I ask, has this enemy touched our land?
And why, did our bulwark never failing,
Fail to stop this fiery dart, that spent it fury on our land.

With plumes of smoke and towers falling
People running, so much yelling, events so appalling
Then Upon my knees I fell, to call on Him in whom we trust
To ask the question WHY of Him who never sleeps nor slumbers
Then to my surprise, I heard him say welcome back! Welcome back.

 I wept!

Oh America, America, established by divine decree
Could it be a loving call to warn us of our need unto repentance?
It's not by patriotism alone that our land remains so free,
Nor is it in the coalitions formed by man between the nations of the world.

Our land was formed not by power and might alone
But by Him who called us unto Him to make our fights not our own
One nation under GOD indivisible with liberty and justice for all
Let us all return to him, by falling on our knees in true repentance
That the time of judgment may be stayed

Let Josiah's determination rise again in the hearts of all Americans
And let the leader of our nation lead the way to Him who called him for this hour.
For let our leaders lead on bended knees to that bulwark never failing
For once restored unto Him and our sins covered by that precious blood and true repentance
Then and only then shall our land be safe, when once again our God stands with us.
