| | | A Fight for Freedom | |
 | | Once upon a time in this very land
 there once stood a monarch
 where democracy now stands
Many years did our ancestors live
 obeying a kings hand
 never did he care
 about the common man

 Letters were sent
 yet ignored
 the King just didn't care
 So we boldly got together
and told him what we believed was fair

 Jefferson, Washington, and many others
 searched for a better solution
 yet to no avail,
 we stood and rebelled
 against a British nation

We fought for what was right
 and won our freedom, true.
So when another country needs our help
 what are we to do?

 Some of you think
 we should turn and run
But I think we should go
 you and me, everyone

 I believe in freedom
 for everyone in the world
I don't think it should be limited
 to us American born.

If I need to fight for life
 I will do my time
 So another boy
 in another world
can live a life like mine

 Please acknowledge
 the rights your expressing
when you stand sign in hand,
 screaming against our nation
 you protest the very freedom
 you were so graciously given

How can you deny another human
 the same rights as you?
What would you do if your rights were gone,
 powerless to stop dictatorship
 wouldn't you ask
 One with a victorious past
 to aid in your liberation

 Our forefathers never asked
for you to die for the rights you bear
but for every sign held up high
 another soldier sheds a tear
A Fathers son, a Mothers daughter
 fight in lands far away
 so people in another country
 can enjoy freedom one day

When I go and join this war
 how will you perceive me?
Will I be among saviors of a nation
 a hero of forlorn glory?
Will I just be another man,
 with an unknown story?

I do not ask you to join me
 in this fight for freedom
I just ask for your support
and prayers for those whom need them
