USCGC James $510M Illegal Narcotics Offload April 12, 2025 April 8, 2025 - The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter James (WMSL 754) crew offloads more than 44,550 pounds of cocaine and 3,880 pounds of marijuana valued at approximately $510 million in Port Everglades, Florida. The illegal narcotics were intercepted in the international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean. The USCGC James is the service's 5th National Security Cutter, the largest and most technically advanced class of cutter in the Coast Guard, with robust capabilities for maritime homeland security, law enforcement, and national defense missions.
