USCGC Seneca Crew With $133M+ Interdicted Narcotics February 22, 2026
February 16, 2026 - USCGC Seneca (WMEC 906) crew proudly stand by 17,750 pounds of illicit narcotics worth more than $133 million associated with four interdictions in the international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean ... before being offloaded at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. USCGC Seneca (WMEC 906) is the sixth of thirteen 270' Famous Class medium endurance cutters in the United States Coast Guard fleet. Its primary missions are homeland security, fisheries law enforcement, counter drug law enforcement, alien migration interdiction operations, and search and rescue. Missions range from protecting and enforcing laws for America's three billion dollar living marine resources economy to deploying in support of Joint Inter-Agency Task Force-South to intercept "narco-terrorists" in the Caribbean Sea and East Pacific Ocean.
